Prior to the establishment of a coaching and mentoring consultancy, The Coaching Studio LLC, Dan was a successful entrepreneur, with 30+ years of experience with businesses in the following industries: electrical / mechanical contracting, manufacturing, distribution, and building design.
Dan is a credentialed coach through the International Coach Federation as an Associate Certified Coach. Dan's current client list includes business owners, executives and business leaders, and professional service providers in the following businesses and industries: fortune 100 companies, banking, real estate, entertainment, construction, manufacturing, restaurateurs as well as a national association. The time with these individuals and organizations is focused in many areas: becoming a more effective leader, manager and coach (to their charges), producing greater results through others, as well as building team leadership and management skills. Dan’s coaching practice also includes working with business owners on organizational issues such as developing mission and vision statements, strategic / operational planning, employee development, and the development of growth strategies in a difficult and competitive market.
On more than one occasion, Dan has been recognized for his work with the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). Dan is a veteran member of the Ohio Michigan Chapter NECA and has also served the industry on the Board of Directors (2006-2000; 1990-1987); as Ohio Michigan Chapter Treasurer (2006-2002; 1990-1988); Ohio Michigan Chapter Governor (2006-2002); and NECA National Marketing Committee Member (2005-2004). Dan also served for many years as a committee member for the Toledo Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Center and in several other local and regional Ohio/Michigan NECA industry-based initiatives.
Today, Dan teaches in the Ohio Michigan Electrical Journeyman-based safety programs and tours this region for public speaking engagements on various topics including business ethics and values and the power of choice. He is currently an adjunct teacher at Owens Community College in Toledo and Findlay, Ohio campuses, where his focus is adult retraining and development programs (OSHA Safety) along with strategic community partners for building youth literacy. Beyond those involvements he is a trained presenter for the Toledo Better Business Bureau program "In Search of Ethics".
Dan also supports and gives back to the local community in various ways some of which include: serving as a board trustee for a charter school sponsoring agency, the Ohio Council for Community Schools, the Sylvania Ohio Chamber of Commerce on various committees and as a member of Kids Unlimited, an organization dedicated to helping children in an after school program to develop the necessary skills to insure their success in school and in life.
