16th Annual Coaches Breakfast and Book Exchange

 
Join us once again to step back from your hectic coaching and consulting life to break bread, relax, network, and share with the coaching community.  

We are pleased to announce that this year’s Exchange will be facilitated by ThePlayGroup, four quirky coaches who promise a good time for all!

When: Friday, December 12, 2014 from 8 until ~10:30 AM

Where: Indiana Wesleyan University, 4100 Rockside Rd (our usual place)**
We will provide a catered Breakfast, included in your cost. 

Cost: $10.00 for members AND non-members
Cost includes coffee/juice and breakfast.

***Please REGISTER IN ADVANCE for this event whether you are a member or non-member (for our catering count)  P.S.  if you decide at the last minute, please come anyway… but if you know now, tell us!

Requirement for admittance:  
Bring a *GIFT WRAPPED BOOK for the random exchange.  It can be new or previously read, but should be something you've found useful or inspirational, in coaching or in life.  When your recipient opens the book, be prepared to tell why you selected to share that book -- that's the fun part!

Coaching Alchemy: Transforming Subconscious Patterns into Conscious Choice - October 10, 2014

It is said that as much as 95% of our behavioral responses are subconscious. 

Raising awareness of subconscious cognitive, emotional or behavioral patterns is a “must” before they can be explored and a choice made to strengthen, eliminate or replace the pattern. 

This is all well and good as a principle but really, how do you access these unconscious patterns; both yours and your clients’?  Once awareness is raised, how do you discern whether to encourage exploration or containment?  When attempting to change a pattern, what is different or not compared to any other change effort? 

In this session you will explore these questions and practice coaching alchemy using the principles and tools presented to facilitate the coaching conversation.  



Juliann Spoth, Ph.D, PCC is an executive coach, consultant, author and educator with over 34 years of experience in individual, team and organizational development.  For Juliann coaching is a calling and offers a way to serve others by bringing a blend of knowledge and skills that touch on personal growth, individual change, and group and organizational dynamics.  Her executive coaching practice has spanned 18 countries, five continents, and multiple industries and is focused on working with leaders to expand their leadership capacity, competence, and compassion.  Juliann is also the Chairperson and a faculty of the Gestalt Institute’s Coaching Certification Program (ACTP) and workshops, and is a Master Coach for leadership programs at Case Western Reserve University.  She is a Board Certified Coach (BCC) and a Gestalt Professional Certified Coach (GPCC™).  Juliann has published chapters and articles in OD and coaching and has spoken at national, regional and local professional organizations on organizational and coaching topics.  Her Ph.D in organizational behavior is from CWRU

When you coach in isolation, you can become “invisible” to yourself in your coaching habits.  In this highly interactive session, you will have the opportunity to coach AND see how others coach.  You will walk away with a broader perspective on your options in the moment, learning from coaches who are different from you.   

We invite you to learn by doing: attendees will participate in short, real-time coaching sessions, both as client and coach.

In this program you will:
  • Participate in live, hands-on coaching, while observing others coaching in the same situation.
  • Leave with a higher awareness of options/paths to take in the coaching conversation.
  • Increase awareness of coaching presence and the coaching space.
